Join the Manurewa Bats crew for a night-time wander through one of Manurewa’s hidden green spaces. This urban bat walk is a little longer, giving participants time to explore, chat, and use bat detectors to listen for any signs of pekapeka that may be in the area.

Tag along with the crew from Finding Franklin Bats for a chill evening under the stars. We’ll head to one of our favourite spots, get settled, turn on the bat detectors, and listen in as our native pekapeka start their night-time adventures. With a bit of luck, you’ll spot them darting across the sky right in front of you. It’s relaxed, it’s local, and it’s a pretty special way to spend an evening in the taiao.
